Join us for the final breakfast of the 2022 series, hosted by the NAIOP Developing Leaders and designed for young leaders only (35 and under). Limited amount of seats are available for this event. Seats are first come, first served and open to NAIOP Developing Leader members first. If  open seats are still available, event may be open to non members after a two week registration period

Featured leader for September is Scott Duckworth, Regional President, Brasfield & Gorrie. 

Scott Duckworth is Brasfield & Gorrie’s regional president for the Carolinas, where he drives all business management, growth, and strategy decisions.

Construction seems to be in his blood. His grandfather built bridges for the state of Alabama, and his brother manages construction for a large paper producing company. Scott pursued his interest at Auburn University, where he earned his degree in building science. Now, in his 30+ years in the industry, he has managed a wide variety of project types, including office towers and several billion dollars in healthcare construction.

Recent projects in North Carolina include $100-200 million projects like the North Hills Expansion, Bandwidth, Inc. Headquarters, MetLife’s three building campus, the Ally Charlotte Center, and the new life science campus—Spark LS.

Scott is keenly client-focused. He seeks to understand what clients need, develops detailed plans to achieve their goals, and makes sure his teams deliver. His knack for building long-term relationships and nurturing repeat business have led his Carolinas region to nearly $900 million in projected annual revenue.

Scott has helped develop exceptional leaders inside the organization, while externally fostering strong bonds with clients and business partners. Scott is constantly guided by Brasfield & Gorrie's mission of “building exceptional people, trusting relationships, great projects, and strong communities.” In his community role, Scott has served on boards including ABC Carolinas, American Heart Association, Rex Foundation, WakeMed Foundation and The Salvation Army.
